Summary:

  • TheCADD Technician/ Entry Level Iwill

provide support services to the Engineering Division drafting needs for Fort

Hood DPW construction projects.

Essential Duties

and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities

  • Will accurately and efficiently produce typical sets of

drawings for construction contracting. Drawing sets typically consist of plans,

elevations, and sections and enlarged details for various disciplines including

but not limited to Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical,

Plumbing and Fire.

  • Modify CADD drawings by collecting, analyzing

information and conferring with DPW Engineers.

  • Provide printing and plotting support to DPW Engineers

on an as needed basis.

  • Remain current on latest information, CADD techniques

and best practices on Government- provided software in order to communicate

updates to DPW Engineers.

  • Supports the development of recommended methods and

procedures to improve the overall operations of the DPW CADD environment.

  • Must be able to accept direction from the CADD Manager;

follow instructions and be flexible with assignments.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s

Degree in CADD, required.

Knowledge, Skills

and Abilities:

  • Must

have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Knowledge of

Drafting terminology, techniques, measuring instruments and procedures.

  • Proficient

knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of

Bentley V8i and ESRI ArcGIS is preferred.
