Summary:

· TheCADD Technicianwill be responsible for providing support to the Engineering Division's drafting needs for Fort Hood DPW construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Accurately and efficiently produce typical sets of drawings for construction contracting. Drawing sets typically consist of plans, elevations, and sections and enlarged details for various disciplines including but not limited to Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire.

· Modify CADD drawings by collecting, analyzing information and conferring with DPW Engineers.

· Provide printing and plotting support to DPW Engineers on an as needed basis.

· Remain current on latest information, CADD techniques and best practices on Government- provided software in order to communicate updates to DPW Engineers.

· Supports the development of recommended methods and procedures to improve the overall operations of the DPW CADD environment.

· Must be able to accept direction from the CADD Manager; follow instructions and be flexible with assignments.

· Must be able to work in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· Associate’s degree in computer related field, preferred.

· A minimum of Two (2) years’ Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) experience (Bentley Microstation).

· Minimum of two (2) years Bentley V8i experience, required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

· Knowledge of Drafting terminology, techniques and procedures.

· Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.

· Proficiency in CADD systems (Bentley Microstation) and equipment as well as measuring instruments, required.
