Summary of Position

This position works under close supervision to provide a variety of clerical procedures related to library public service areas to include the main circulation desk, the learning commons area and the Multimedia Lab control desk.

Minimum Required Education

High school graduate or GED. Current enrollment at CTC with a GPA of 2.5 and completion of 6 credit hours.

Minimum Required Experience

No work experience required, training will be provided.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in current technologies in particular Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to perform simple software/hardware maintenance on computers and on printers. Ability to learn library automated systems. Awareness of the library Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and the Academic Databases. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with the public and with all levels of employee
