Baylor Scott & White Health Mgr Radiology Imaging in Pflugerville, Texas
The Manager of Radiology Imaging for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) is responsible for assisting the Director in the management, planning, organizing and improvement of the work processes in Radiology services and any other areas within the organization as instructed by the Director.
In this role the Manager of Radiology Imaging for BSWH performs department orientation, teaches, coaches and supervises staff. Candidate ensures adherence to and understanding of the organizations vision, mission, values and goals. The Manager of Radiology Imaging recommends and assists in development of policies and procedures to comply with regulatory organizations and Baylor Scott & White Health philosophy. Manager of Radiology Imaging will act as the Radiology Director in his/her absence.
In addition, the Manager of Radiology Imaging for BSWH has the following responsibilities:
Collaborates with the Clinical Managers and staff to conduct multidisciplinary staff meetings to ensure consistent and timely communication throughout the department
Encourages employees to participate in Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Patient Safety surveys and other activities providing service feedback results to staff and initiates a plan of action related to areas of improvement
Provides the management team feedback related to new and replacement equipment, and operational concerns
Develops a budget for areas of responsibility (e.g. Diagnostic Imaging, MRI, CT, etc.) and oversees the performance and provides input related to capital equipment
Facilitates reward and recognition in the Imaging and Clinical Departments
Supports and holds staff accountable for patient safety and patient care policies and procedures
Establishes and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, ACR, TDH and other regulatory or accreditation standards
Oversees the delivery of imaging services by the technologist during the 24-hour operations in various modalities of Radiology (e.g. CT, Diagnostic Radiology, etc.).
Identifies patient service requirements by utilizing AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure they perform the correct exam on the correct patient, establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand the service requirements
The ideal Manager Radiology Imaging of BSWH will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperating working relationships with internal and external customers. Must be detailed oriented, team player and possess strong organizational skills.

H.S. Graduate/GED or equivalent, and completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Bachelors and or Masters preferred.
Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless funcitoning only in Ultrasound or MRI
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in the imaging modality which the manager oversees. [i.e. ARRT ( R ), (CT), (MR), (IR); CNMT, RN, etc]
5 Years of Work Experience Required
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Familiar with facility start up and passion for innovation
