We are a global, multi-billion-dollar corporation – and Accounting is vital to reflecting our earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. To meet this challenge, we implement best practices, provide general financial support, resolve queries, prepare reports and provide statistics. We also design policies and procedures that adhere to audit & compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of Disclosure Review Committee’s (DRC) quarterly business review process, including preparation & collection of presentation materials

  • Global administration of the quarterly Management Representation Letter (MRL) submitted by all BUs and support organizations which is relied upon by the Chief Accounting Officer and the DRC to ensure compliance with US GAAP, monitor internal controls, and ensure debt covenant compliance.

  • Support external reporting and legal teams by providing disclosure support for proxy and SEC filings, including related party transactions, segment information, & purchase commitments

  • Ensure internal and external audit requests are answered accurately & timely

  • Maintain control documentation and actively support team during control testing

  • Representing Corporate Reporting & Accounting in project workgroups

  • As necessary, provide quality checks on certain documents created by Corporate Reporting, SEC External Reporting, Investor Relations, and Treasury teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred but not required)

  • 4-8 years of professional accounting experience (Big 4 and/or publicly traded corporate reporting experience preferred)

  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Able to work independently and partner effectively with other organizations

  • Ability to prioritize with strict deadlines

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, Dell accounting policies, and related control requirements

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
