Baylor Scott & White Health Radiologic Technologist Clinic in Taylor, Texas
The Radiologic Technologist Clinic performs Diagnostic and/or Fluoroscopic Imaging procedures on ambulatory patients in a Physician Office or Clinic setting as requested by a physician or other licensed provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist. The Radiologic Technologist Clinic must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and ensure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patient while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Identifies patient service requirements to be certain they perform the correct exam on the correct patient; establishes rapport with potential and actual patients and others in a position to understand services requirements; assures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; maintains radiology supplies inventory; and maintains professional and technical knowledge. The Radiologist Technologist Clinic maintains a clean and safe working environment and complies with procedures, rules, and regulations of TDH, OSHA, TJC, and ACR. The Technologist gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; positions patient and equipment in preparation for procedure; practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff and adheres to infection control policies and protocols; maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; and documents patient care services by charting patient and department records.
The ideal Radiologic Technologist Clinic candidate is able to effective communicate verbally and in writing with patients, family and staff, able to perform high quality radiology procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner and function in a fast paced environment.

H.S. Graduate/GED or equivalent, and completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required
Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) required
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT ( R ) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
