Baylor Scott & White Health Manager Clinical Informatics McLane Children's Job in Temple, Texas

The Manager Clinical Informatics serves as the primary facility resource for the hospital-based EHR implementation, post implementation support, and as the liaison to BIS. The Manager Clinical Informatics will work closely with the BIS Project Manager, BIS project teams, and IS Director to coordinate and lead hospital resources through the EHR and other EHR-related implementations. This role coordinates and champions the EHR implementation project activities and acts as a change agent for use of the electronic health record to provide patient care. This role further serves as a hospital operational leader, member of the EHR FIT Executive Team, Leader of the Facility Implementation Team (FIT), supports the Physician Adoption Workgroup and member of the BHCS FIT/FAST Team. This role will direct facility post-implementation support and works with BIS, CMIO Team, EHR Education Team and hospital leaders to resolve issues and measure the efficacy and efficiency of the implementation and post-implementation processes. It is important to note that this position will require flexible and extended work hours during some phases of the implementation as well as some travel to Bryan Tower and other Baylor Scott & White Facilities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will be experienced in leading EHR related projects.

  • Highly proficient in successful completion of complex systems related projects.

  • Comfortable in span of control and influencing colleagues and leaders toward project goals.
